Having said that, I am glad to say, any misgivings I had were promptly expelled. Now don’t get me wrong, this will not be one of the greatest movies ever made, and in many ways it fails to even come close to the likes of Independence Day, which in my opinion is one of the very best films of its form ever made. It does however, deliver a much more up-close-and-personal component to an alien invasion. It is really more like seeing a war filmed in Iraq or something, but that in itself is the thing that separates it from a mix of recent alien invasion pictures that doesn’t ignite any form of fire in the mind.
