The Money With Your Blog Site Team
Creating a blog about a subject you love is super easy to do. You can simply create a free account on sites like Blogger or Wordpress and start posting to your blog.
And you can do this for absolutely free. Of course, why would you work so hard on a blog if you don’t plan on getting people to read it? This isn’t the only reason you need to get new people to read your blog but it is necessary to create incentive for these visitors to come back to your blog again and again.
Every blog these days has a ’subscribe’ option, where the readers can subscribe through RSS to receive updates from the blog. In order to get more and more people to subscribe to your blog’s content, it’s really important that you make the subscription option prominent. If the subscription button is small or blends in, how will readers know that it is there? Don’t be afraid to be really bold and blunt about the readers’ option to subscribe to your feed. When you do this, you’ll automatically see an increase in the subscription rate, which will obviously lead to a higher stick rate.
Give your readers more than one option to subscribe to your blog. RSS is a superb option for subscription and keeping readers informed about updates made to your blog but you need to provide other options as well, like e-mail subscriptions. Not everyone wants to use an RSS reader and there are lots of services that will e-mail your feed to them. You can offer more to your readers when you use one of these free services.
Most new site visitors will check out the “About Me” page so that they can learn more about the blogger. They want to know who is making the blog and what their ambitions, hobbies, etc may be. The “About Me” page needs to be well made if you want your blog’s sticky rate and subscription levels to improve. Don’t make this page too lengthy or extensive; you just want to give your readers a fair idea as to who you are and what you do. Sure the main focus of your blog needs to be your amazing content but the “About Me” page is still an opportunity to sell yourself so don’t miss it. All in all, building a successful blog is all about creating a balance between traffic generation and creating good content. Once you’ve build up a good sized stable of regular readers, you won’t have to constantly search for new sources of traffic. Your existing readers will like your content and spread the word. So your primary focus should be on building a good blog that is sticky so that everything else can just fall into place.
